NOTES:
A tinkered take on the White Negroni template: Cocchi Americano stands in for Lillet Blanc (drier, more bitter, sharper), and a floral, aromatic spirit replaces gin. Honey syrup and saline solution round out the edges - technically a departure from a strict Negroni riff, but the balance holds up.
This version swaps in SONKLIN for the original floral spirit, letting the rice spirit's delicate character carry the same bright, aromatic role.
Honey syrup: dissolve honey in warm water at a 1:1 ratio. Saline solution: dissolve salt in water at roughly a 4:1 water-to-salt ratio (by weight), and dash to taste.
HISTORY
This one comes from a home bartender's video experimenting with the White Negroni formula - keeping the bittersweet, aromatized-wine backbone of the original while swapping components to push it drier and more floral.
It's less a codified classic than a personal riff shared online, which is part of the appeal: proof that the White Negroni template is flexible enough to rebuild almost entirely and still land.
