INGREDIENTS

Orchard Archives Longan • 30 ml / 1 oz Choeng Doi Blanc • 15 ml / 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice • 15 ml / 0.5 oz

Simple Syrup • 5 ml / 0.25 oz

STEPS
  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake vigorously until well chilled.

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

NOTES:

Increase the longan spirit for a richer, more fruit-forward cocktail, or add more Choeng Doi Blanc to let the fresh, grassy character of the rhum take the lead. We recommend starting with this recipe as a balanced expression of both spirits.

HISTORY

The Daiquiri is one of the world's most iconic rhum cocktails. Believed to have originated in Cuba in the late nineteenth century, it combines just three ingredients, rhum, fresh lime juice, and sugar, to create a drink celebrated for its simplicity, balance, and ability to showcase the character of the base spirit. Today, it remains a benchmark cocktail for bartenders around the world.

Our Lumyai Daiquiri brings that classic template to Northern Thailand by incorporating Orchard Archives Longan Spirit alongside Choeng Doi Blanc. Chiang Dao and the surrounding region produce an abundance of longan each year, but seasonal oversupply often leaves farmers facing low prices and unsold fruit. Orchard Archives was created to help add value to this remarkable local ingredient, transforming surplus longan into a spirit that can be enjoyed long after the harvest has ended. The result is a Daiquiri that celebrates both a timeless cocktail and the agricultural landscape that inspires it.
