Energy Management

We utilize firewood only from trees that are dead and need to be removed from orchards around Chiang Dao. We air dry them until the moisture content drops below 15%, allowing for a clean efficient burn. 

Closed Water Loop

Our cooling systems are based on a 8000L tank and circulation system that uses natural evaporative cooling method  to lower energy and water use. 

Sourcing Local

Sourcing local not only helps us control quality and sugar content, it also means our carbon footprint is lower when it comes to our ingredients. We also work closely with all our supplies, all of whom are multi generation land owners with deep knowledge of their farms.

Waste Recycling

Practically all our waste streams are recycled. The bagasse from the sugarcane is dried and compacted into bricks to supplement our wood fired boiler, the ash from the fire is used to make natural fertilizer along with the dredges of our molasses fermentation which we then give away to local farmers. Even our left over rice is trucked to a nearby farm for geese to eat.
